Default Need a job?

The United States Census 2010 needs good people.

Salary range is $13.50 - $20.25 per hour.

There is an office locally.

The card says:

Good pay, flexible hours, work close to home, paid training, temporary and part time jobs.

More information, including a practice test, is available at: www.2010censusjobs.gov

Call 347 967 4000 to schedule the real test.

Good luck!

Try 347 967 4020 if you get a voice message at other number. They had a recording saying the quota was filled, but it isn't, they still have jobs. It's $18.75 a hour and they have field jobs and office jobs. It starts in early spring 2010 and is temporary. Don't know how long but guessing it will last a few months. You need to take a test. Not sure if higher scores matter or just need a passing grade.

I took this test last night. I'm not sure I'll do it but it's not for a few months and I wasn't doing anything from 6PM to 8PM, so what the heck.

I did the practice test beforehand. I highly recommend doing this if you take the test. The real test is almost exactly the same but the questions are phrased differently and there are some different questions. You only get 30 minutes to do 28 questions and it goes pretty fast.

Some questions are easy to get so I recommend going through the test quickly doing the ones that are easy first and then go back and start working on the ones that take more time. They let you know when you have a minute left and then you can just guess the ones you didn't finish.

One woman next to me had about 8 questions left unanswered and was trying to fill them in but they took the answer sheet from her so I don't think she did very well.

I sat right in the front of the desk where they corrected the answers, they give it to you after the test. There were a mostly 90s and 80s, some 70s and only one or two below 70 which is a failure.

Thanks for posting this information. In these times we know there are people who could use the work, even if it is only temporary.

Yes, thanks bre for elucidating. It's really important that we try to help each other, regardless where our political views lie. We are all made up of a lot more than just those.

They are still looking for people to work on the census. They have both office and field jobs. The office jobs pay less, about $15 per hour and the field pays about $19.
