Exclamation Capitalism: A Love Story

I can't wait to see this one. I saw Sicko and it was the best film I saw that year. People in the theatre were talking about what it meant to them and I've never seen that in any film. I think this will be Michael Moore's best film.

Looks a little corny. I saw the one scene on tv where he pulls up in front of a deserted AIG (probably on a Sunday morning) with a bullhorn and announces he's making a citizen's arrest on behalf of the American people.

More like theatrics, not exactly anything to be taken seriously. It reminded me of the boat ride he took to Gitmo in Sicko.

Who knows? We'll have to wait and see.

I agree. Michael Moore makes some good points but he usually doesn't make suggestions of how to change policies/do things differently! I saw the clip of the film they had of Regan with Reagan suggesting that Regan had too much of a hold on him for telling the president to speed up. Of course he can say that- he's the chief of staff!

Bottom line- I don't plan on seeing it, at least in theaters.

Rented this from Netflix. Reference was made to the Second Bill of Rights, a proposal made by FDR in 1944. I had never heard anything about this and found it very interesting.

A belated thanks, Diane. I will only be back now and then. Seems many others feel the same way. Speaking for myself, it became quite distasteful a while back when bre apparently had a lot of time on his hands and dumped all his vitriole on here. I miss rabbitman3's wit and the back and forth news between Barbara and Ellen. Ridge78 remains a voice of reason - thanks.

I'm trying to be kinder and gentler, but can't really change my spots. Hope it comes through.

You are most welcome!

Whenever you come back, it will be a positive, whether we agree or not.
