Was it Pearl of China ???
My aunts and uncles sent me there from 50th Street and 4th ave all the way out here to get this great food (at the time).circa 40 years ago..

I remember all the restaurants mentioned here, but I knew Eddie, the guy who opened Pearl of China in the late '70s and we remained friends until the '90s when he sold it and moved away.  It was on 3rd between 86th and 85th.  Great guy and I wish him and his family luck wherever they went. And yes, they were probably the best Chinese restaurant in Bay Ridge (at least as far as I was concerned).

General Discussion / Thoughts on the new Stewarts~?
« Last post by aSal3803 on November 14, 2015, 03:53:54 PM »
Was surprised to go down 86th and 5th the day Stewart's opened up. I gotta say that the Italian Hot Dogs are quite a thing although I will miss the dinner menu. Hopefully Stewart's does really well as right now, this is the only place I can get what essentially amounts to home fries on my hot dog without having to go all the way to Jersey.
